Producing sustainable grass fed beef remains a primary focus for Grass Run Farms.

Our producers use a variety of production methods in efforts to ensure sustainable forage sources and supply of grass fed cattle for long-term viability of Grass Run Farms. On behalf of Grass Run Farms, JBS is a founding member of the U.S. Roundtable of Sustainable Beef and a current member of the Board of Directors.

The USRSB has established six high priority indicators for sustainable beef production to include:

  • Animal Health and Well-Being
  • Efficiency and Yield
  • Water Resources
  • Land Resources
  • Air and Greenhouse Gas Emissions
  • Employee Safety and Well-Being

The USRSB is working to advance continuous improvement of the beef supply chain by also developing practiced-based Metrics and Sustainability Assessment Guides which will measure progress against the high priority indicators. Our active involvement in this organization shows our commitment to keeping sustainable grass fed beef on the table.
