The Instant Pot was an instant success when it hit the market in the early 2010’s, and it hasn’t lost steam with time-conscious foodies since. It’s beloved because it combines key features of several staple appliances (the pressure cooker, the slow cooker, the rice cooker, the steamer, and the warmer) into one convenient, compact package.
One of the best foods to prepare in an Instant Pot is beef, as it cooks evenly and is infused with a ton of flavor—all in limited time.
Read on for our favorite grass fed beef recipes that use an Instant Pot!
1. Instant Pot Beef Bourguignon

In this easy take on a French slow-cooked classic, beef bourguignon is made in an Instant Pot in only one hour. (Yes, you read that right!) If Julia Child were alive today, she would be an Instant Pot spokeswoman. Try the recipe via Creme de la Crumb, and make sure to use our grass fed chuck arm roast, a cut that stands up beautifully to the rigors of pressure roasting.
2. 30-Minute Beef and Broccoli

With a name like Pressure Cooking Today, this site is clearly an authority on yummy pressure-cooked meals. A popular entry is their Beef and Broccoli recipe, which can be made with a chuck arm roast or a London Broil. A healthier take on this recipe is to serve over zoodles (zucchini noodles) instead of rice.
3. Instant Pot Creamy Shells and Beef

Spicy Southern Kitchen likens her Creamy Shells and Beef to Hamburger Helper in that it’s rich and comforting—but it’s the well-made, home cooked version of that box on your supermarket shelf. Grass fed ground beef and cream cheese give this dish an amazing texture. And, thanks to the miraculous Instant Pot, the entire dish can hit your table in under 25 minutes.
4. Instant Pot Beef Curry with Coconut Milk

Adapted from a Bon Appetit recipe, this curry from Paint the Kitchen Red might be the most detailed Instant Pot recipe we’ve seen. Instructions include directions for your specific Instant Pot model as well as step-by-step guidelines that are both written and supported by photography. Best yet, the Instant Pot turns what would be a time-intensive, low-and-slow stew process into a one-hour dish. Amazing! Use our grass fed stew meat and local veggies (and make sure to invite us over for dinner.)
